After being abandoned by my good church going Catholic children and their spouses I decided to travel. So I sold my house in The Adirondacks, in retrospect I should have stayed, and set sail.
A brief stay with friends in Vermont, where is skied Killington a few times. Then off go Maine with a quick stop at Wildcat in NH. Skied Sugarloaf and Sunday River, then back to Vermont.
Load the car and it’s westward ho. First stop Denver. South to Taos. Next up Salt Lake (if near Salt Lake, go to Dinosaur National Monument. Coolest place ever.) to Truckee, California. From there were jaunts to Northern Idaho, Mammoth, Death Valley.
20 ski areas in one winter. 5000 miles.
Selling the house in New Mexico and going mobile to finish my tour of The Lower 48.
