I never talked disparaging about my wife to her children.

I never drank to unconsciousness and had to be carried out of a second story bar in downtown Burlington on Christmas Eve.

I never anointed aunts as superior human beings to a parent.

I never heard the words, “are you ok?” or “what can we do to help?”

I never got gifts I wanted….”my parents want to know what you want for (Christmas, Fathers Day, Birthday). THEY DON’T WANT TO BUY YOU THAT.

Then have them get me what you want.
