As a married man, I was not allowed family tradition. Family tradition was the sole territory of my wife, her sisters, her mother, her father, her aunts, uncles, cousins and anyone any of them had ever met.
One tradition was to manipulate the gifts I received for Christmas, Fathers Day and my birthday somehow reflected Lore’s wishes for “something for the house.” I finally started rejecting gifts, as none were really intended for me.
“just have them get me whatever you want.”
Another tradition was to request my help through Lore.
Lastly, no offense but, (for Grazia) the tradition of deflecting blame, pointing fingers, demanding compliance, denying opposition opinions. Intolerance and ignorance. Selfish, greedy Catholic hate.
